Here I am, world o' blogs.

I am starting this here journal as a missive of sorts: a report to the masses of my adventures and misadventures during my studies abroad.
In one day, precisely, I will embark on a plane to Madrid, Espana to study at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. I will live in the city with a family. I will be there for many moons. Exactly how many moons is still up in the air, though, as I have an open return ticket.
I am definately planning on traveling around Europe, and perhaps finding some sort of program/internship/job for a chunk of the summer in or around Spain.

You may hear echos of my op-ed "Word to your mother" column style in this blog, with "un poquito" Spanglish (or as I like to call it, Spanga-licious) mixed in. I may write long diatribes or concise little daily haikus. Time shall tell...as I am approaching this blogging thang rather experimentally.

So for you, please feel free to give a shout, make a comment or suggestion, send your love/warm regards through this lovely 21st century vehicle of thought.
